WireHand — Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 9, 2026
Last Updated: October 9, 2026
1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using WireHand (the "App" or the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Jairo Hernandez ("WireHand," "we," "us").
2. Eligibility and Availability
You must be 18 years of age or older to use WireHand. By using the App you represent that you are 18 or older, able to form a binding agreement, and not barred from using the Service under US law.
WireHand is offered only to users in the United States.
3. Your Account and Text Messages
- Accounts are created and secured using your mobile phone number and a one-time verification code. You must use a phone number that you own or are authorized to use.
- The verification code sent by text message is the only way to sign in. We send SMS messages only to deliver sign-in codes that you request. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to stop messages and HELP for help. After you reply STOP, we will not text you again unless a new sign-in code is requested in the app for your number. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your phone number.
- Preview mode. You may use two tools — Ohm's Law and TapeMath — without an account. All other features require registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining control of the phone number associated with your account and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information. Misrepresenting your credentials, certifications, licenses, or work history is a material breach of these Terms.
- One account per person. Accounts are not transferable.
Notify us immediately at support@wirehand.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. License and the Service
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal professional purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; scrape or systematically extract data; resell or sublicense access; use the Service to build a competing product or to train AI models; circumvent security, rate limits, or usage caps; or use automated means to access the App.
We may change, add, or remove features at any time. The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you the price and terms before you pay, and paid features will be sold through the App Store or Google Play as their rules require.
The NEC is a registered trademark of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). WireHand is not affiliated with or endorsed by NFPA.
5. ⚠️ CALCULATION TOOLS — CRITICAL DISCLAIMER
Read this section carefully. It limits our liability and defines your responsibilities.
5.1 The Tools Are Reference Aids Only
WireHand provides nine calculation tools: PullSheet, TapeMath, Ohm's Law, Pay Calculator, Voltage Drop, Conduit Fill, Box Fill, BendMath, and Knockouts.
These tools are informational reference aids only. They are not a substitute for:
- The National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and any adopted local amendments
- Applicable state, county, and municipal electrical codes
- Manufacturer specifications, listings, and installation instructions
- Bender manufacturer charts and equipment-specific deduction tables
- Engineering review where required
- The independent judgment of a licensed electrician, electrical contractor, or professional engineer
You are solely responsible for independently verifying every value produced by the App before relying on it for any installation, purchase, bid, estimate, inspection, or safety decision.
We make no representation that any calculation reflects the code edition, amendment, or jurisdiction applicable to your work. Code editions vary by jurisdiction and change over time.
5.2 Rounding and Precision
Calculations involving fractional measurements are rounded to the precision you select. Rounded values are approximations. Values shown may differ from manufacturer charts or from values computed at a different precision. Always verify against your actual materials and equipment before cutting, bending, or drilling.
5.3 Pay Calculator and Pay Stub Scan
The Pay Calculator produces informational estimates only. It is not tax advice, financial advice, legal advice, or a statement of wages owed. It does not account for every withholding, deduction, benefit, or the terms of any employment agreement or collective bargaining agreement. Results are not a determination of what you are owed, and not a basis for a legal claim without independent review. Verify all figures against your actual pay stub and your employer's records. For pay disputes, contact your employer, your union, a tax professional, or your state labor department.
Your permission. Before your first scan, the app asks your permission to send the pay stub image to our AI provider, Anthropic. The Privacy Policy explains what is sent and how it is handled.
Only scan what you need to. A pay stub can show your Social Security number or bank details. Consider covering those numbers before scanning. Do not scan other people's pay stubs without their permission.
Values read from a scanned pay stub may be incomplete or incorrect. Verify every value against the original document.
5.4 Safety and Assumption of Risk
Electrical work is inherently hazardous. Follow OSHA and NFPA 70E safe work practices. Do not use the App when it would distract you from safe work, such as while working near energized equipment or operating a vehicle.
Incorrect calculations or reliance on incorrect information can result in property damage, fire, serious injury, or death. By using the App you acknowledge this risk and agree that you — not WireHand — bear full responsibility for verifying the accuracy and applicability of all information before acting on it.
5.5 No Certification or Licensure
WireHand does not verify, certify, license, endorse, or vouch for any user's skills, certifications, license status, work history, or qualifications. A WireHand profile or generated resume is a user-authored document. It is not a credential and confers no professional standing.
6. Your Content, Resume, and Feedback
6.1 Your Content and Your Resume
You retain ownership of the information you submit — profile data, skills, certifications, project history, saved tool data, and uploaded pay stub images.
You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate the App and provide the Service to you. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups and the records described in the Privacy Policy.
Resume. We generate your resume PDF on your device from the data in your profile. The PDF is yours. We do not store it, and we do not send it to anyone. You decide where to share it.
You represent that you have the right to submit all content you upload and that it does not infringe any third party's rights or contain confidential information you are not authorized to disclose.
6.2 Feedback
Any feedback, comment, suggestion, idea, bug report, feature request, or other input you provide to us regarding the App ("Feedback") is provided voluntarily and is not confidential. You should not send us anything you consider confidential or proprietary, or that belongs to a third party.
You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, non-exclusive, transferable and sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute and otherwise exploit your Feedback for any purpose, including to develop, improve, market and commercialize the App and any other product or service, without restriction.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive any claim to compensation, royalty, equity, credit or attribution, and any right, title or interest in the App or in any product, feature, improvement or intellectual property that may result from or incorporate your Feedback. We have no obligation to use your Feedback, to keep it confidential, to respond to it, or to compensate you for it.
You represent that your Feedback is your own, that you have the right to provide it, and that it does not include any third party's confidential, proprietary or personal information.
This Section does not change how we handle personal information. Any personal information contained in your Feedback is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and nothing in this Section authorizes us to publish or disclose your personal information.
7. Usage Limits
Each account can scan up to two pay stubs per calendar month. The limit is the same for every user and cannot be bought or raised by paying. We may change the limit at any time. When you reach it, you can still enter your pay information by hand. Attempting to get around a limit, including by creating multiple accounts, is a breach of these Terms.
8. Acceptable Use
You may not use the App to: violate any law; impersonate another person; submit false credentials; harass, threaten, or discriminate against any person; upload other people's pay stubs or personal information without their permission; upload malicious code; interfere with the Service or overload it; try to access other users' data, our servers, or systems without authorization, or probe, scan, or test their security; collect other users' information without authorization; or use the pay stub scan to do anything Anthropic's usage policy prohibits.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third parties such as Supabase, Twilio, Anthropic, and Sentry, and is distributed through Apple and Google. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or acts of third-party services outside our control. Your use of an app store is also governed by that store's terms.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any calculation or extracted value will be accurate or suitable for your purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions the above exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WIREHAND AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, WAGES, DATA, BUSINESS, OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY, OR FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE'S CALCULATIONS, CODE REFERENCES, PAY ESTIMATES, OR NUMBERS READ FROM A PAY STUB SCAN.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
These limits apply whatever the legal theory and even if we were told the damage was possible. Some states do not allow certain limits, so some may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WireHand from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and can delete your account in the app (Profile > Delete my account). Deletion has a 7-day grace period, then is permanent. Details: https://wirehand.app/delete-account.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Service. Where reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to download your resume first.
Sections 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 18 survive termination.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@wirehand.app and try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days.
Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state courts of Gwinnett County, Georgia, and, where federal jurisdiction applies, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
15. Assignment and Succession
You may not transfer these Terms. We may assign these Terms and our rights and obligations hereunder, including all associated user data, accounts, and developer or distribution accounts through which the App is made available, to a successor entity under common control, including a newly formed corporation organized to operate the WireHand service, or in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, without further notice to or consent from you. Upon such assignment, all references herein to the operating entity shall be deemed to refer to the successor, and the governing law and venue provisions shall be updated accordingly and published at the URLs set forth in this agreement.
16. Apple and Google
If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and WireHand only, not with Apple or Google. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App, and is not responsible for addressing any product claims or third-party intellectual property claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
17. Changes
We may modify these Terms. We will change the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
18. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and WireHand about the Service. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a right, we do not waive it. Neither party is responsible for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
